Weightloss And life Update: October 26th

Hey Ladies & Gents!
So I’m not doing so well lately. My pharmacy has my Ozempic still on back order. I haven’t had an Ozempic injection in three weeks. Which gaining back weight has me feeling like crap. I had a chef salad yesterday, but it didn’t keep me full. So I had french fries in the air fryer with Kroger sweet and sour sauce.

I haven’t been eating that healthy lately, which I’m disappointed in myself. I feel as if I need to continue to use my calorie app to make sure I’m eating right.
The last few times we’ve eaten, my dad made my plate. So my portion sizes were smaller, so that’s a win. I did eat one pork chop instead of two a few days ago.

I ate too many fried potatoes because I hadn’t had them in a while. I had some for lunch and some for dinner. I only ate fried potatoes for dinner instead of full meal.

As for my mental health, it’s going pretty well. The doctor did lower a medication because I was oversleeping. Maybe I’m just bored or lacking inspiration for my hobbies.
Although I do write when my focus is better.
I haven’t been reading lately because I feel like I can’t keep focus very long. I love to read, but I can’t seem to get into books I get from Dollar Tree.
Like I get the books are cheap, but once in a while, I’d like a book I’d actually can buy more than a dollar twenty-five. I want books from Walmart, but they are more expensive.

Also, we’ve started Christmas shopping. I want an animal crossing new horizons for my switch. I’m alright not getting the Sims 4 expansion packs this year. I can get them eventually, but I would rather get switch games.

Well, thanks for reading!

Jack Skellington Cheese Ball

Ingredients

  • 2 8 oz. Packages of Cream Cheese
  • 1 1/2 Cups Pepper Jack Cheese
  • 1/3 Cup Green Onions
  • 1/2 Cup Bacon Cooked and Diced
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • Black Olives (some whole and some cut into halves)
  • Wax Paper

Instructions

  1. Start by cooking the bacon and allow to cool. Once cooled, cut into small diced pieces and set aside. While your bacon is cooking, allow your cream cheese to set out of the fridge for easier mixing.
  2. Add all ingredients into a stand mixer and mix well. You can also use a bowl and a handmixer if you have that instead.
  3. Place combined ingredients onto wax paper. Pick up the cheese mixture and use hands to form a ball. You want to make it as round as possible.
  4. Next, place the ball onto the wax paper and add the details of Jack’s face using the black olives. We used 2 whole olives for his eyes and then sliced olives cut in half for his mouth. You can give him that stitched look by alternating the way the cut olives are facing.
  5. Now, place in refrigerator for one hour to allow the cheeseball to set.
  6. Once set, remove from fridge and serve with our homemade pumpkin tortilla chips or crackers of your choice.
  7. Enjoy!

Notes

  • If not covered entirely, the outside of the cheese ball will crust and harden. Keep it covered at all times.
  • You can add any ingredients you’d like to this cheese ball – be creative!
  • I recommend allowing the cheese ball to reach room temperature before serving to avoid chips being broken off into the cheese ball.
  • You can also use a pairing knife to apply the dip to the chips.
  • Keep any leftovers refrigerated.

10 Simple Halloween Desserts

1. Ghost Cookies

How cute are these cookies?! The only thing shocking about them is that they only require three ingredients to make.

Yep, just three! With just some Milano cookies, white chocolate chips, and mini-chocolate chips, you can make these super sweet and adorable cookies.

They’re so easy that even kids can make them from start to finish!

Dip the cookies in melted white chocolate, add mini-chocolate chips to form the eyes and mouth, and there you have it.

Just be sure to assist the kids if the melted chocolate is too hot.

2. Mummy Cookies

Sweet and buttery sugar cookies dressed up like mummies? This Halloween dessert is to die for!

They’re such quick and easy treats to make, too. The sugar cookies call for only 6 basic ingredients and frosting them could not be easier.

There are no piping skills needed to achieve this look!

3. Trick-Or-Treat Ghost Cake Pops

If you’re feeding a bunch of kids, you can’t go wrong with Halloween cake pops.

They can be as cute or creepy as you like, and they’re the perfect little bites for little hands – or claws!

Feel free to use a boxed cake mix. And change up the colors as you like.

4. Jack O’ Lantern Pumpkin Hand Pies

Filled with spiced pumpkin, these pies are perfect for fall.

And they’re a great little Halloween treat if you don’t want spooky.

They take a bit of time to cut out, but I’ve seen some stamp pumpkin stamps that’ll do the work for you.

And, of course, you could fill them with strawberry pie filling to make them look bloody terrific!

5. Bleeding Black Cupcakes

These black Halloween cupcakes are pretty creepy on their own.

But that blood-red center just makes them so perfect for All Hallows Eve, don’t you think?

It’s just white chocolate ganache, so it’ll taste creamy and sweet. But it’ll look fantastic dripping down everyone’s chins!

6. Monster Eyeball Cookie Pops

These monster eyeball cookie pops are the perfect balance of cute and creepy. I can stare at them for hours.

Your favorite chocolate chip cookies recipe and a bunch of candy eyeballs are all it takes to make this eye-popping abomination.

Pairing the cookies with an eye-glass (get it?) of chocolate milk is also such a genius idea! Just stick on printed eyeballs on any glass, and you’re done!

7. Bat Oreos

Oh, the things you can make with Oreos and melted chocolate. These bat Oreos look fantastic!

Oreos are already pretty perfect as is, but coat them in melted chocolate, and you’ll get a completely different, magnificent beast altogether.

Sweet, crunchy, and Chocolatey cookies – they’re every kid’s dream!

They’re also super easy and fun to prepare. Lay out all ingredients on the table, and have the kids make them!

8. Witch Hat Cookies

These witch hat cookies are so magical, they’re Hogwarts-worthy. They’re a must-have at a Harry Potter-themed party.

Hosting a party can be overwhelming, so what you need are easy-to-make treats that are also delicious and theme-appropriate. These cookies check all the boxes.

This recipe uses store-bought round crackers, chocolate kisses, and melted chocolate to make the most spell-bounding cookies. No baking required.

And my, look how breathtaking they are! Every Potterhead would love to have these.

9. Halloween Cookie Cake

This Halloween cookie cake is not just big in size, but in flavor, too!

It’s one giant chocolate chip cookie loaded with orange-tinted vanilla frosting, Reese’s Peanut Pieces, and Rolos, and oozing with chocolate syrup. It’s the stuff of dreams!

It’s sweet, chewy, and insanely Chocolatey! The Reese’s add a wonderfully sweet, salty, and peanut buttery contrast. It also gives it that Halloween feel!

10. Vampire Fudge

Deep black fudge with a vibrant blood-red swirl – this recipe just screams “Halloween!”

You only need three ingredients, and it’s ready in a flash.

Serve it with a few gummy teeth stuck on the side and it’ll be a hit.
